FIELD: transportation, package.
SUBSTANCE: folding unit is designed for producing packages from sealed packs, each of which has a base portion and opposed end portions, located on opposite sides of the main portion, and each pack contains, for each end portion of the rib and a pair of flaps projecting laterally from the base portion. The node comprises a conveyor belt, on which the packs are supplied and which supply the packs along a forming path and folding means, which interact with each pack along the path for folding respective forming edges on the respective terminal end portion. Wherein, this conveyor contains at least the first and the second links, that are pivotally connected to each other, the second unit is placed downstream relative to the first link in a direction along the path. The folding means contain a groove, which is formed by the first link and is adapted to accommodate the end edges, and a slider, which is operatively connected to the second link and is movable between a first position, in which it at least partially engages the recess so as to fold the terminal edge at the appropriate terminal portion, and a second position, in which it is disengaged from the slot.
EFFECT: invention provides a simplification.
