FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for simultaneous estimation of Donnan potential in eight electromembrane systems includes measuring of the EMF in eight electrochemical circuits using a nine-section cell from a non-conductive material, wherein each of the eight ion-exchanging membranes have one end immersed into the central housing with the tested solution, and the other end into one of the eight sections with the reference solution, while the response of eight silver chloride electrodes immersed into the section with the reference solution is measured simultaneously relative to the silver chloride electrode immersed in the housing with the test solution using a multi-channel potentiometer, at that, each of the eight electrochemical circuits is closed along the membrane and diffusion in membranes is infinitely slow relative to the test time.

EFFECT: accurate assessment of Donnan potential simultaneously in eight electromembrane systems.
