SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a fuser for the electrophotographic image forming device and a clamping element for the fuser of the electrophotographic image forming device. Herewith the fuser for the electrophotographic image forming device comprises a stationary clamping element having an elongated body portion, which includes an outer surface. The clamping element is one of substantially transparent and substantially translucent and allows radiant heat, the endless fuser belt having a flexible tubular configuration rotatably disposed around the clamping element, the heating lamp for transmission of radiant heat through the clamping element to the inner surface of the fuser belt, to pass therethrough. The clamping element is disposed around the heating lamp and the back-up roll opposed to the fuser belt. The clamping member is adapted to contact pressure to the fuser belt against the back-up roll to form the fuser clamping device between the back-up roll and the fuser belt segment. The outer surface of the clamping element includes a plurality of substantially flat longitudinal segments. A plurality of substantially flat longitudinal segments comprises the first substantially flat longitudinal segment and the second substantially flat longitudinal segment. The width of the first substantially flat longitudinal segment differs from the width of the second substantially flat longitudinal segment. The clamping element for the fuser of the electrophotographic image forming device includes an elongated main body, which is, at least, one of the substantially transparent and substantially translucent and allows radiant heat to pass therethrough. The outer surface of the main body has a non-circular cross-section and includes a longitudinal recess and a plurality of longitudinal flat segments.
