FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a step switch for voltage regulation, comprising semiconductor switching elements on a regulated transformer with a control winding. The step switch has a modular design, each module containing the relevant part of the regulating winding, connected or disconnected by means of the semiconductor switching elements.
EFFECT: invention is intended to protect the semiconductor switching elements from the high voltage; varistors and capacitors are integrated additionally.
