SUBSTANCE: wireless location system for location determination for excitation and/or determination of location information to indicate the location of at least one transceiver tag (2) of multiple transceiver tags distributed in the tracking area, at that, the transceiver tags are configured to provide wireless transmission of the identification signal when the exciting electromagnetic signal is present at the transceiver tag location and comprises at least one mobile exciter assembly (4) with a transmitter (24) configured to transmit an electromagnetic signal to excite at least one transceiver tag (2). A mobile exciter assembly (4) is mounted on the mobile device (6). At least one receiver (10) is adapted to receive an identification signal from the transceiver tag, and at least one location evaluation unit (14) is configured to determine the location information using the mobile exciter assembly location (4) and/or signal characteristics of the identification signal received by at least one transceiver tag (2).

EFFECT: invention improves the positioning accuracy.
