FIELD: positioning systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to local positioning. Local positioning system comprises a master node, at least two subordinate nodes, at least one label having its identification data. Method of operating the local positioning system comprises the steps in which the master node receives a command from the user to search for a mark; the master node and the slave nodes send search pulses modulated with the tag identification data; label takes a search pulse, accumulates the energy of the received search pulse and sends a positioning pulse to the space when determining the coincidence of the received identification data with its identification data; master node calculates the position of the mark in space according to the received positioning pulses.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in increasing the accuracy of the location of the mark, the ability to operate a tag without batteries, the possibility of using multiple labels simultaneously.
