FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of thickening sludge using ultrasonic waves includes its purification from coarse, medium size, fine and colloidal slurry of particles in a mud settler, mixing in the main sump roughly clarified sludge with a chemical reagent solution previously prepared and acoustically dispersed, mechanical mixing of the pulp with a solution of the chemical reagent and simultaneously irradiating them in the main sump, gravity thickening sludge, thickened sludge from the main fence sump and acoustic pre-drying to a moisture content of not more than 50%, and transporting the condensed acoustically dried sludge and its subsequent dehydration, transportation condensed and dewatered sludge to deep processing or disposal. The main settler is a thickener in which a pulp with a solution of a chemical reagent is irradiated with hydroacoustic waves of sound and ultrasonic frequency bands with an acoustic pressure amplitude of at least 104 Pa at a distance 1m from the corresponding hydroacoustic radiator. Impact on the pulp in a mud sediment basin with the help of hydroacoustic waves of sound and ultrasonic frequency ranges with an acoustic pressure amplitude of at least 102 Pa at a distance 1m from the corresponding hydroacoustic radiator. The effect is exerted on the condensed precipitate by means of sonoacoustic waves of sound and ultrasonic frequency ranges with an acoustic pressure amplitude of at least 102 Pa at a distance 1m from the corresponding hydroacoustic emitter.
EFFECT: invention allows to effectively thicken the sediment and clarify the pulp in a relatively simple way with minimal financial and time costs, ensuring medical safety for humans and environmental safety for the environment.
