FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in a periodical influence on saponite-containing water by hydroacoustic waves of a sound and ultrasound range of frequencies. The hydroacoustic influence on water is realised only in a tailing pond - in the area of industrial sewage discharge, in the central part - on the way of water movement to a water intake, as well as in the water intake area. Water degassing is realised in the central part of the tailing pond and in the water intake area. Saponite-containg sediment consolidation is realised in the area of industrial sewage discharge, in the central part of the tailing pond and in the water intake area. Consolidation of the waterproof dam body of the tailing pond in the discharge area is carried out by the radiation of hydroacoustic waves in its direction. The amplitude of acoustic pressure of all hydroacoustic waves constitutes not less than 102 Pa at 1 m distance from the radiator. Consolidation of the saponite-containing sediment, its dehydration and drying are realised with the application of acoustic waves with the amplitude of acoustic pressure of not less than 10 Pa at 1 m distance from the radiator.
EFFECT: method provides the effective purification of a large volume of saponite-containing water, effective consolidation, dehydration and drying of the saponite-containing sediment, lifted from the bottom of the tailing pond, by the simple method at minimal cost.
