FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. The fluid administration system includes an injector head for fluid injection into the patient, a mounting structure, pivotally connected to the injector head and configured to mount the injector head to the diagnostic table; a reference plane sensor located on the injector head to determine the injector head orientation relative to the mounting structure; and a control system functionally coupled to the injector head and the reference plane sensor to control the injection procedure. The injector head comprises a housing; a mechanical interface on the housing front surface for reception of at least one syringe; a rod located within the housing for connection with the plunger of at least one said syringe; and a drive system located within the housing for rod movement. The control system is configured to receive an incoming signal from the reference plane sensor to create a reference plane relative to the floor surface and alert the user if one of the following displacements is detected between the reference plane and the floor surface: a displacement, causing direction of at least one syringe to the floor surface during filling and purging, and a displacement causing direction of at least one syringe to the side other than the floor surface during injection. Administration system and syringe options for use with the system are disclosed.
EFFECT: invention automates liquid administration during angiography.
