FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical equipment, namely to magnetic resonance angiography. In compliance with the first assembly, an injection system includes an injection device, operator interface that receives inputs from an operator of said injection system, and a controller, functionally connected with an injection device and an operator interface, including a target in-bloodstream contrast agent concentration determination module that determines a target in-bloodstream contrast agent concentration at least partially based on contrast agent type and MRA imager parameters, wherein the first imaging parameter is a pulse repetition time for said MRA imager, and a contrast agent injection rate determination module that determines a contrast agent injection rate at least partially based on the target in-bloodstream contrast agent concentration, input data on initial contrast agent concentration, and input data on patient's cardiac output. In compliance with the second assembly, a system additionally comprises a syringe installed on said injection system and holding a contrast agent, memory comprising a plurality of formulas, relating contrast agent concentration in a patient to be imaged by an MRA imager to signal intensity received by said MRA imager. In compliance with the third assembly, a system controller includes a contrast agent injection rate determination module that determines a contrast agent injection rate by multiplying a cardiac output rate of a patient, to be imaged by a ratio of a target in-bloodstream contrast agent concentration to a concentration of said contrast agent in said syringe. In compliance with the fourth assembly, the system includes a dual-head power injector, first syringe installed on said dual-head power injector, second syringe installed on said dual-head power injector and holding diluent, operator interface, controller, which includes a diluent injection rate determination module providing simultaneous discharge by said contrast agent from said first syringe at said contrast injection rate and discharge said diluent from said second syringe at said diluent injection rate. Methods of controlling injection systems are carried out by means of corresponding devices.
EFFECT: using the inventions allows to improve MRA image quality.
