SUBSTANCE: blood sampling is performed from the peripheral venous system on the 3-4 week of child's life and extracellular peroxidase activity (EPA) is determined by spectrophotometry at the spot photometer at a wavelength of 450 nm in the serum obtained by centrifugation. If the EPA value is less than 1887.1 c.u., active phase of prematurity retinopathy development is predicted.

EFFECT: use of the invention can improve the accuracy of early prediction of prematurity retinopathy in 3-4 week infants, which allows the ophthalmologist to correct the tactics of nursing and monitoring of the disease for the timely pathogenetically oriented treatment.
