FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: information interaction between the institutions, engaged in collection of donor blood and (or) its components, and medical institutions that perform transfusion of donor blood and (or) its components. Production of blood products, where a copy of the label on the container with blood and (or) its components is received in a health care institution using a digital camera. Windows Explorer is used to download the necessary photographs in the medical information system (MIS) of the medical facility. In the automated mode, using communication links or removable information storage media, MIS automatically recognizes the label barcode on photographs of containers with blood and (or) its components during download of such photographs, reads and decodes it. According to the decoded number, MIS finds the corresponding identification number and the container data in the "blood bank" and "binds" the image to it. MIS has a possibility of creation of a blood transfusion protocol that reflects the state of recipient's health. When a package is disposed, the donor blood and (or) its components package writing off certificate is filled, when the protocol or the donor blood and (or) its components package writing off certificate is saved, the label phototograph is automatically included into the protocol and is printed with it. All processes related to provision of a unified information space in transfusion, are documented and administered in the automated mode by the medical information system.

EFFECT: method provides a unified information space in transfusion due to information exchange between agencies, which collect blood and its components and medical institutions, medical and industrial organizations, performing transfusion of donor blood and its components, production of blood products, documentation and administration of donor blood and its components application traceability from the donor to the recipient.
