FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: electron flow of the explosive emission from the cathode is formed in the method for accelerating ions by the pulsed electron flow, while generating a high-voltage pulse of the negative voltage on the diode cathode using a two-electrode spark gap, the electron flow is locked in the cylindrical drift tube with the formation of a potential well for the positively charged particles, the pulsed laser radiation is focused on a solid target, a laser plasma cluster is formed, expanding to the diode axis, the neutral laser plasma atoms are ionized by the electron flow, the negative space charge is compensated in the potential well, and the obtained ions are accelerated along the drift tube, the part of the laser radiation necessary for a stable spark gap breakdown, is focused on its electrode, and the increasing current is excited in a conical spiral line via τ3 the delay time after the laser pulse, a quickly growing azimuthally symmetric magnetic field is created by the spiral line in the potential well area, decreasing in magnitude along the drift tube, and the clot of electrons and ions is exposed thereby.
EFFECT: increasing the current of the accelerated deuterons, while maintaining or reducing the drift space dimentions.
