FIELD: neutron physics. SUBSTANCE: pulsed neutron generator has two plasma-forming targets inside sealed cylindrical case, on its axis, with plasma-forming surface facing each other. Magnetic coils coupled with discharge electrodes of high-voltage shaping line are coaxially mounted about target. Generator is provided with pulse laser, optical system for phasing out laser spots on targets and discharge electrode, as well as channels for laser beam input effective zone.
