FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves receiving and measuring the amplitudes of signals emitted by an approaching active space vehicle (SV). To receive signals, flat detectors are used, which are placed on a spherical surface with respect to it. Material is placed inside the spherical shell - radiation absorber. The direction to the active spacecraft is determined from the radius vector directed from the center of the sphere to the point of contact of the detector with the maximum amplitude of the received signal.
EFFECT: relative simplicity and versatility of means of determining the direction of an approaching spacecraft.
