FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reception and conversion of radiation and a method of omnidirectional recording of an image in the optical range. Method includes arrangement of lenses on surface of spherical shell and their orientation in radial direction from center of sphere. Fields of view of lenses are formed without mutual overlapping in solid angle 4π steradian. Image of lenses is diaphragmed and projected onto matrix optoelectronic receivers. Matrix receivers are mutually insulated and placed on the surface of concentric spherical shell of smaller diameter. Information received from matrix receivers is converted into a panoramic image.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling omnidirectional recording of images in the optical range.
