FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the control of the motion of spacecrafts (SC), in particular to prevent the closing-in of a spacecraft with the active object (AO). According to the method, the signals, which are emitted by the approaching AO, are registered onboard the spacecraft with flat-type detectors, which are located on the surface of the spherical shell. These signals are stored and processed, determining the current direction to the AO along the radius vector of the detector with the maximum amplitude of the signal. Directions are registered at the AO at different times and simultaneously the power of the received signals is measured. Registered directions at the AO are compared and, when they coincide, the time to meet on the interval between successive measurements and the ratio of signal powers at the time of measurement are determined.
EFFECT: technical result is the advance determination of the moment when the AO meets the SC using relatively simple means.
