FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: before supplying the data to inputs of a reference model of a diagnosed product all inputs of diagnosed products are grouped into subsets on the following basis - each subset has connected typical functional unit, and each such unit is associated with one of software units available in the data database - logical interfaces, then on inputs of the obtained reference model of the diagnosed product the appropriate combination of input signals are set in the sequence specified in the diagnostic test. This sequence is formed in a computer by processing of the script, which is a sequence of operations of logical interfaces, after the formation of a diagnostic test the value of its preliminary efficiency is determined and the decision on adequate quality of formed diagnostic test is made, as a result of the made decision the diagnostic test is sent for modification or commissioned.

EFFECT: improvement of quality and efficiency of the process of generation of diagnostic tests.
