Abstract RU 2619689 C1

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method for processing dolomite includes exposing the dolomite feedstock to sulfuric acid solution with obtaining a precipitate in the form of gypsum and magnesium sulfate solution. From the magnesium sulfate solution, magnesium hydroxide is precipitated by an alkaline reagent for subsequent separation of magnesium oxide therefrom. The mixture of dolomite raw material in the form of dolomite flour and sulfuric acid solution is taken at the molar ratio: 1 part of dolomite, 2 parts of sulfuric acid and not less than 1 part of water, are mixed and exposed to the microwave field with the frequency of 2.4-2.5 GHz, with the specific power of 0.01-0.5 W/g until the release of carbon dioxide ceases. The resulting precipitate in the form of gypsum is filtered, weighed and irradiated with the microwave field with the frequency of 2.4-2.5 GHz and the specific power of 0.1-0.5 W/g, until the mass is reduced by at least 15% of the weighted mass of gypsum to obtain alabaster. The magnesium sulfate solution with the alkaline reagent introduced therein is stirred and subjected to the microwave field with the frequency of 2.4-2.5 GHz and the specific power of 0.01-0.5 W/g, to form a precipitate in the form of magnesium hydroxide. The precipitate is filtered off and irradiated with the microwave field with the frequency of 2.4-2.5 GHz and the specific power of 1-4 W/g for 5-20 minutes until obtaining caustic magnesium oxide. As an alkaline reagent, potassium or sodium hydroxide is used.

EFFECT: invention allows to provide complex processing of dolomite raw material, to increase the productivity of the technological process, to reduce the ecological load on the environment.
