FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in paint and chemical industry, in construction, in space engineering. Lightfast pigments are obtained by mixing of one of powders ZnO, TiO2, SiO2, ZrO2, Al2O3, MgAl2O4, Zn2TiO4, BaTiO3 with oxidants with addition of distilled water. Method comprises dispersion in ball mills or magnetic mixers to obtain a homogeneous paste. Then, evaporation for not more than 6 hours at temperature not higher than 250 °C, rubbing and heating for not more than 4 hours at temperature lower than 1,000 °C. Oxidants are added to mixture in amount of not more than 30 wt%. Oxiodants used are sodium peroxide or peroxy sodium borate or peroxy potassium borate.

EFFECT: invention increases light fastness of pigments, avoids multiple steps and use of complex and expensive equipment, reduces time and temperature of operations.
