FIELD: space- system engineering. SUBSTANCE: particles of zirconium dioxide pigment that can be used in aircraft manufacture are coated by oxide or salt modifier in amounts 1 wt %. Composition of the latter is chosen from conditions: S′ = (Em-Ep)/(Em+Ep) where 0′< S′< 0.130, Em is relative light scattering, and Ep are dielectric coefficient of modifier and pigment, respectively. As modifier, following compounds can be used: aluminum oxide (S′ = 0.12), strontium oxide (S′ = 0.0433), magnesium oxide (S′ = 0.0262), silicon oxide (S′ = 0.0164), and strontium nitrate ( = 0.003). EFFECT: increased (in 1 = times) radiation resistance of pigment. 1 tbl
