FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: device for ensuring the operability of a caterpillar vehicle chassis consisting of a caterpillar propulsor including caterpillars, driving wheels, idlers with caterpillar tension mechanisms, track rollers, supporting rollers, a suspension comprising torsion shafts, balancers and shock absorbers, and the structure of each caterpillar tension mechanism of the right and the left sides comprises a crank, a worm wheel, a worm and a worm stopper. The caterpillar tension mechanism has a power part consisting of a control unit, a worm electric motor, an electromagnet of the worm stopper. The driving wheels, the idlers, the supporting rollers, the track rollers are equipped with sensors measuring their angular velocity. The torsion shafts are equipped with displacement sensors. The hydraulic shock absorbers are equipped with liquid pressure sensors. The worm wheels are equipped with vibration sensors. All sensors are connected to the information receiving and processing unit connected to the control unit of the power part of the caterpillar tension mechanism and to the memory device.
EFFECT: increasing the service life of the propulsor parts.
