FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: according to first version procedure for run-in of caterpillar belt on test bench consists in installation of caterpillar belt in caterpillar edging of bench frame, in stretching caterpillar belt in caterpillar edging to level corresponding to static, in facilitation of re-winding caterpillar belt in caterpillar edging by rotation of driving wheels actuated with electric drive. Run-in of the caterpillar belt is carried out without interaction of its bearing surfaces with elements of the test bench or ground. Torsions are twisted on a model caterpillar propeller. Further, the caterpillar belt is stretched to a level of torsion force in a normal machine. Successively, bearing rollers are released from external load and simultaneously there is performed additional tension of the caterpillar belt with force of torsion unwinding to a medium operation level. In the second version of the procedure torsions in the model caterpillar propeller are twisted to a level 5-15 % exceeding the level corresponding to their static position in the edging of the caterpillar propeller of a normal machine.
EFFECT: reduced damages of bearing surfaces of caterpillar.
