SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves concentrating the fermentation broth containing the 1,5-diaminopentane carbonate, adding the acid to the fermentation broth concentrate to obtain a carbonate-free acidic composition having a pH value of 4.0 to less than 7.0, adding the base to the acidic composition with obtaining a basic composition having a pH value of greater than 12.0 to 14, and recovering 1,5-diaminopentane from the base composition.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain high purity 1,5-diaminopentane with a high degree of recovery.
