FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and concerns a method for prediction of gastroesophageal reflux disease severity. The method includes free and bound water determination in patient's formed elements of blood and oral fluid. If the detected volume of bound water in biological macromolecules composition is less than 19.43 for formed blood elements, and more than 10.26 for oral fluid, the development of severe GERD is predicted.
EFFECT: invention allows accurate prediction of severe GERD development.
