SUBSTANCE: inflatable article compises the first sheet, the second sheet and a plurality of tensioning structures. The first sheet is made of weldable plastic. The second sheet is made of weldable plastic. The first and the second sheets cooperate to form an inflatable chamber. A plurality of tensioning structures, each comprising a weldable plastic. The first portion of each tensioning structure is welded to the first sheet and the second portion of each tensioning structure is welded to the second sheet. The first portion has a seam formed by a clamp, and the second portion has a seam formed by a clamp. The perimeter of the second portion seam is substantially a mirror image of the perimeter of the first portion seam relative to the plane positioned within the first sheet and the second sheet and parallel to them.
