SUBSTANCE: composite material comprises thermoplastic phase change material in which with predetermined spatial distribution crystallization nuclei are implemented. The phase change material is ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene. The crystallization nuclei have higher softening temperature, in particular at least 50 °C higher softening temperature than the phase change material and/or crystallization nuclei have a higher thermal conductivity than the phase change material.

EFFECT: invention provides composite material for thermal energy storage device by means of which overcooling phenomenon can be reduced.
