SUBSTANCE: image processing device comprises a scattering modelling processor, which processes the measured sinograms generated from the imaging data obtained for the visualization subject by the visualizing device in order to obtain the scattering sinogram, which characterizes the shape of the scattering contribution. The scaling scattering processor uses the Monte Carlo simulation method to determine the scattering fraction, and scales the scattering sinogram to generate the scaled scattering sinogram, which coincides with the scattering contribution on the measured sinogram. The reconstruction processor reconstructs the visualization data in the image presentation by using the scaled scattering sinogram for the scattering correction.
