METHOD FOR ENERGY CALIBRATING DIGITAL POSITRON EMISSION TOMOGRAPHY (DPET) Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01T1/164

Abstract RU 2620863 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the positron emission tomography (PET) and finds particular application in connection with the energy calibration of the digital PET detector (DPET). The invention consists in the fact that the event data are received for the plurality of the collision events corresponding to the gamma-radiation events. Each collision event is detected by pixel of the detector module and includes energy and time. The energy of the collision events is linearized by using the power linearity correction model, which includes one or more parameters. The clusters of the collision events are identified based on the collision event time, and the subclusters of the clusters are identified based on the pixels corresponding to the cluster collision events. The subcluster energy is corrected using the first set of the correction coefficients, and the cluster energy, comprising a plurality of subclusters, is corrected using the second set of the correction coefficients.

EFFECT: increasing energy resolution of the positron emission tomography detectors and enhancing the image contrast.
