FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: an automatic dosing method in which a vacuum is created in the hopper by degassing, as a result of which a mixture of bulk material with gas is fed into the hopper through a loading pipeline. When a certain value of pressure drop is obtained in the layer of material in the hopper, the material is unloaded by gravity through a discharge pipeline coupled with the bottom of the hopper. The pressure drop is measured between the points at the top and at the bottom of the hopper, and the material is discharged through a vertical pipeline with a constant cross-section by disconnecting the device which creates the vacuum. The hydraulic resistance of the discharge pipeline, when it sucks in air, is greater than the hydraulic resistance of the loading pipeline when the material mixture with gas is sucked through it. A dosage meter, that implements this method, is also claimed.

EFFECT: increased accuracy and reliability of the dosing process, while increasing the range of controlled flow variation and expanding the range of dosed bulk materials.
