METHOD TO DETERMINE PRESCRIPTIONS TO CONDUCT EPIDURAL TRANSLAMINAR BLOCKADE WITH TADDITION OF CORTICOSTEROIDS IN LUMBOSACRAL RADICULOPATHY Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/48 A61B8/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: linical verification of lumbosacral radiculopathy is performed. An ultrasound scan of lumbar spine is carried out to detect signs of edema around the spinal disc hernia. Biochemical analysis of lipid peroxidation products (LPO) is performed. The following is studied as LPO indicators: primary isopropanol soluble LPO products (PISP), secondary isopropanol soluble LPO products (SISP), end isopropanol soluble LPO products (EISP), primary heptane soluble LPO products (PHSP), secondary heptane soluble LPO products (SHSP), and end heptane soluble LPO products (EHSP). If there is a combination of lumbosacral radiculopathy clinic, signs of edema around the disc herniation and values of LPO indicators: PISP -more than 0.505; SISP - more than 0.383; EISP - more than 0.029; PHSP - more than 0.865; SHSP - more than 0.701; EHSP - more than 0.046, patient is prescribed epidural translaminary blockade with addition of corticosteroids. If lumbosacral radiculopathy clinic is observed with no signs of edema around the disc herniation and values of LPO indicators less than the above - no prescription for epidural translaminary blockade with addition of corticosteroids is made.

EFFECT: method allows to identify indications for epidural translaminary blockade with addition of corticosteroids in lumbosacral radiculopathy, to achieve maximum effectiveness of patients treatment through complex evaluation of the most significant indicators.
