SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to traumatology, orthopedics and immunology, it can be used to predict the development of instability of endoprosthesis components in patients with degenerative-dystrophic diseases of large joints when they are replaced with artificial ones. The patient's blood is examined in dynamics, namely, blood is taken twice, on 5-7 days after and 6 months after the operation, while determining the enzyme of the family of zinc- and calcium-dependent endopeptidases that affect the metabolism of extracellular matrix components: matrix metalloproteinase-3 (hereinafter – MMP-3). If in the postoperative period after 6 months, compared to the seventh postoperative day, the level of MMP-3 increases more than 2 times, then an expressed predominance of the processes of collagen degradation and bone resorption is diagnosed and a high risk of endoprosthesis instability is predicted.

EFFECT: invention provides a simplification of forecasting technology and a reduction in the frequency of laboratory research.
