SUBSTANCE: method includes receiving the first data from the first well in the formation, receiving the second formation data from the drilling assembly located in the second well. The drilling assembly may comprise a drill bit and a measuring assembly while drilling (MWD) or a logging assembly while drilling (LWD), and can perform drilling of the second well. The second formation data correspond to the part of the formation in front of and around the drill bit. The first formation data and the second formation data are correlated for identifying the formation characteristics. The operating conditions of the drilling assembly are changed based on, at least, in part, the predicted formation characteristics.
