FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method may include receiving one or more first multicomponent measurement from the borehole tool disposed in the borehole. The downhole tool may comprise a multicomponent antennas. Constructive relative inclination of the downhole tool relative to the formations can be determined, for example, by the use of additional downhole tool or by calculation using one or more first multicomponent measurement. The inclination of at least one multicomponent antenna may be adjusted and the corrected inclination is based on the dip angle. The method may also include receiving one or more second multicomponent measurements associated with the corrected inclination, and determining formation characteristics based at least particlaly on one or more second multicomponent measurement without including or accounting formation anisotropy effects.
