The inclination of at least one multicomponent antenna may be adjusted and the corrected inclination is based on the dip angle. The method may also include receiving one or more second multicomponent measurements associated with the corrected inclination, and determining formation characteristics based at least particlaly on one or more second multicomponent measurement without including or accounting formation anisotropy effects.
