FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining a nanostructured wire from titanium-nickel-tantalum alloy with shape memory effect includes thermomechanical processing of the workpiece, which combines intense plastic deformation and pre-crystallization annealing. Intense plastic deformation is carried out in three stages. In the first phase of implementing rolling when temperature is not above 750°C with the achievement of accumulated deformation degree (e) more than 400%. In the second phase of implementing the rotary forging in several stages with the decrease of temperature in the range from 700 to 600°C and the degree of deformation is no more than 90%. At the third stage exercise drawing in several stages with a reduction in temperature range from 600 to 200°C and degree of deformation is not more than 60%. Annealing is carried out after each stage of deformation at a temperature of 200-450°C.

EFFECT: strength is increased while maintaining the plasticity of the nanostructured alloy.
