FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely, to methods for producing thin wire from an alloy for cava filters and stents. The method for producing wire from a titanium-nickel-tantalum alloy for manufacture of a spherical powder includes smelting of alloy ingots from the initial materials in an electric arc vacuum furnace with a non-consumable tungsten electrode, homogenising annealing of the ingots in a vacuum of 5∙10-5 mm Hg, intensive plastic deformation of the ingots resulting in wire, and recrystallisation annealing of the resulting wire. The homogenising annealing of ingots is executed at a temperature of 600°C for 12 h, the intensive plastic deformation is executed by rolling on a reversing mill to a cross section of the workpiece of 10x10 mm2, swaging in air at a temperature of 600°C and single or multiple drawing to the diameter of the wire of 0.18 mm, and the recrystallisation annealing of the resulting wire is executed in a vacuum at a temperature of 600°C for 12 h.
EFFECT: production of a single wire is ensured.
