FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplastic shaping of alloys with shape memory effect based on titanium-nickel intermetallic compound and can be used in metallurgy, machine building and medicine. Invention is aimed at creation of specified parameters of nanocrystalline structure and superelastic state in alloys. Method of deformation processing of long semi-finished products from Ti50-xNi50+x alloys includes multipass rolling at temperature Td<Mb of pre-quenched semi-finished product in martensite state to achieve total true degree of deformation e>3, where x=0-0.3, Td is deformation temperature, Mb is temperature of the beginning of direct martensite transformation during cooling. That is combined with exposure to pulsed electric current with density of 30-200 A/mm2, frequency of 100-1,000 Hz and duration of 10-500 mcs. Semi-finished products of thin section are obtained from Ti50-xNi50+x alloys with shape memory effect, superelasticity and with homogeneous ultrafine-grained and nanocrystalline structure with grain size of 60<d<150 nm.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to control parameters of the structure and provide a complex of high technological and functional properties, in particular, to obtain a superelastic state in an alloy with an initial martensite structure.
