Data acquisition unit is made to receive data from sensors through a short-distance communication unit and to transfer data relating to sensors to a mobile device through short-distance communication unit, when the mobile device enters into the said area, communication channel between the mobile device and the data acquisition unit is set within the said range. System and method for data collection and control is configured to determine presence of mobile device within the said range.
