FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry apparatus resistant to concentrated acids, in particular to apparatus for spent nuclear-fuel reprocessing at the initial reprocessing stage, whereat dissolving of spent fuel elements is carried out in concentrated nitric acid at elevated temperatures for subsequent extraction of uranium, plutonium isotopes and degradation products in the reactor from the solution. The apparatus casing is made of titanium sheets, whereon a coating layer from a titanium-based alloy is predeposited with electron beam, the coating layer comprises the elements from the following row as alloying: tantalum and/or niobium, zirconium, molybdenum with the total alloying component concentration of 5-60 wt %. The sheets are subjected to moulding to give them the desired shape. Sheet joints are joined by electric-arc welding after moulding in an inert-gas blanket so that on the inside of the apparatus the weld is fullly penetrated, sealed and passes along a layer of anti-corrosion coating of connected sheets, and on the outside - along the titanium base.
EFFECT: production of casings of chemical industry apparatus resistant to concentrated nitric and sulfuric acids at temperatures up to the boiling temperatures, which enables to increase the intermaintenance operational period or completely eliminate the need for personnel access to the apparatus for the entire period of its operation.
