FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group may be used to produce a hydrogen sulfide content of sulfanes not exceeding 600 million-1. For hydrogen sulfide obtaining by carrying out the exothermic reaction of sulfur with hydrogen at elevated temperature and pressure, the availability of melt (3) sulfur is ensured in the lower part (2) of the reactor (1). The pressurized hydrogen in the sulfur melt is fed via at least one feeding device (5, 5a) to form a gaseous mixture. Partially trapped gas mixture containing hydrogen and sulfur, at least two non-retaining first pressure traps (4) to form during the exothermic reaction of the gas mixture P1, hydrogen sulfide as a product, sulfur and hydrogen. The gas mixture P1 is held in one or more second traps (8) with the conversion of sulfur and hydrogen sulfide to form additional gaseous mixture P2. The product gas mixture containing Pcontaining end is collected into a gas-collecting part (6).
EFFECT: increase in the degree of conversion and the hydrogen purity of the hydrogen sulfide.
