FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: plant for ammonia oxidation comprises the vessel with an inner wall and an inlet gas opening, the catalyst bed contained in the vessel, the opening for gas inlet into the vessel, and the gas distributor installed in the inlet gas opening. The gas distributor comprises the circular gas-diffusing plate having a thickness and a center point, and a plurality of openings arranged in a series of concentric rings. Each ring has a center in the central point of the gas-diffusing plate. Wherein the gas-diffusing plate comprises at least the first ring, the second ring, and the third ring, each of which having a plurality of openings. The openings in the first ring have a first angle of orientation and the openings in at least one of the second and the third rings rings have a second angle of orientation, larger than the first angle of orientation.
EFFECT: efficient gas distribution through the catalyst bed.
