SUBSTANCE: rail vehicle braking adjustment device has connectability to control the first and the second braking devices, adjustment of the braking devices independently, determination and/or registering the actual wheel slip, wheel adjustment within the specified ranges of the predetermined wheel slip values. Braking adjustment device controls the braking devices in the general range, that provides the most effective braking. The rail vehicle braking system contains the braking adjustment device. The method of the braking system adjustment, at which register and/or determine the actual wheel slip of the first and the second wheels; control the first and the second braking devices for the wheel adjustment in the first and the second ranges of the specified wheel slip values; determine the most effective braking and control the braking devices for adjustment of the wheels in the general range of the predetermined wheel slip values.
EFFECT: braking improvement due to improved adhesion coefficient of wheels and rails.
