SUBSTANCE: actuator (7) for a rail vehicle comprises a unit (6) of set value determination, besides, the unit (6) of set value determination at the outlet (A1) provides the set value (SSoll) or the set value (SGleit) corrected under action of the reducing signal (RS) of a device (10) of anti-skid regulation, where the set value (SGleit) is slowdown force (Fv) subject to regulation or slowdown moment (Mv) subject to regulation, and transmits to the inlet (E1) of the device (5) of set value regulation. The device (5) regulates the set value (SSoll; SGleit) up to the first outlet set value (ASv1). A switching device (13) in the first position sends outlet data of the device (5) into a device (19) of set value conversion into the force in the first switching position. In the second switching position the device (19) receives a signal from a return unit (12). Braking facilities (16, 17, 18) convert the actual value (Ip) of the force (Fp) into the actual value (Iv) of the slowdown force (Fv) subject to regulation or slowdown moment (Mv) subject to regulation. In case of impermissible deviation of the actual value (Iv) from the specified value (SB-Soll) of emergency braking, the device (13) is switched into the second position.
EFFECT: development of an actuator with control of slowdown force, which when used in a friction braking system of a rail vehicle makes the friction braking system suitable.
