FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: vacuum plasma sandwiched coating is applied. First bottom layer of zirconium nitride is applied. Then a top layer from a nitride of titanium, molybdenum and silicon compounds at wt %: 93.1-95.0 titanium, 1.0-1.4 silicon, 4.0-5.5 molybdenum - is applied. Layers coating is made with three cathodes arranged horizontally in one plane. The first cathode is made of a titanium and aluminium alloy, the second - of zirconium and is arranged opposite the first one while the third cathode is made of chromium and titanium and arranged there between. The bottom layer is applied with the second cathode while top layer is applied with the first and the third cathodes.
EFFECT: higher cutting efficiency.
