SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the composition for applying a coating on paper wrapper for smoking articles, which comprises a combination of gum arabic and a filler containing calcium carbonate separately or in combination with other substances, wherein the composition includes expressed relative to the weight of the dry composition material: between 40% and 95% by weight of gum arabic and between 5% and 60% by weight of calcium carbonate.
EFFECT: providing extinguishing in the free combustion process.
