FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: blood vessels and nerves are sampled. An autovenous-neural transplant is made from an inverted segment of the small saphenous vein where a segment of the gastrocnemius nerve is inserted, which is taken from the access to the tibia. After the inserts are formed, they are united into a single block, sewing the inserts together along the length behind the vein intima. The block is introduced into the spinal cord defect and fixedt to its ends. After pia mater closure, dural sac plastic is perfromed by an artificial dural sheath.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce the traumatic nature of surgical intervention and to reduce postoperative complications, due to the autovenous-neural graft formed in the above manner.
