FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: spinal canal is approached. An apex of a spinous process is layered with preserving its main part; the spinous process is excavated to the root. The layered parts of the spinous process are driven apart together with attached muscles and ligaments. Arches of over- and underlying spines are excised with preserving facet joints. A yellow ligament is mobilised from the underlying bone. The spinal column is repaired along spinal roots at the level of the tumour, and a dural sac is inspected. A dura mater is opened in the middle. After the spinal cord tumour is removed and the dura mater is repaired, the apex of the spinous process is sutured together.
EFFECT: method enables reducing injures and providing the deepest possible inspection of the spinal cord tumour, reducing the risk of postoperative stenosis of the spinal cord.
