FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves installing a system in the well consisting of a temperature gauge and heat/cooling sources distributed along the length of the well. Activating the system with formation of heat indicator marks in the well and following determination using the temperature gauge for heat indicator mark travel down the well and with calculation of the measured values of the flow speed distribution in the well, used for determination of the process characteristics of the well. Temperature measuring is performed at 1÷100 m from the nearest heat/cooling source. Multiuse heat/cooling sources installed at regular intervals from each other and connected to the system to selectively activate them, are used.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of the process monitoring method for horizontal and directional development or injection wells.
