METHOD FOR DISTANT METASTASES DEVELOPMENT RISK DEGREE DETERMINATION FOR PATIENTS WITH COLON CANCER Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N33/48

SUBSTANCE: molecular characteristics are studied in the colon tumor and in the unmodified tissue: X1-chymotrypsin-like proteasome activity in the tumor, ⋅10³ u/mg protein; X2-chymotrypsin-like proteasome activity in the unmodified tissues, ⋅10 u/mg protein; X3-total calpain activity in the tumor, ⋅10 u/mg protein; X4-total calpain activity in the unmodified tissues, ⋅10 u/mg protein; taking into account X5-the patient age, then Y1 and Y2 values are calculated using discriminant equations: Y1 = 0.039*X1+0.126*X2+0.775*X3-0.083*X4-0.040*X5-23.51; and Y2 = 0.015*X1+0.115*X2+0.509*X3-0.026*X4-0.026*X5-13.84, and at Y1>Y2, the patient belongs to the group with a low risk of distant metastases development; at Y1<Y2 - to the group with a high risk of distant metastases developmet for colon cancer.

EFFECT: method allows to increase diagnosis sensitivity and accuracy.
