SUBSTANCE: carrier for catalysts based on alumina with a corundum structure of various geometric shapes has a specific surface area of 2.5 m2/g up to 10 m2/g, the total pore volume from 0.30 cm3/g to 0.64 cm3/g. Pores up to 0.1 nm do not exceed 25% of the total porosity, pores from 0.1 to 4 nm make up at least 75% of the total porosity, pores over 4 nm do not exceed 12% of the total porosity, contains sodium cations from 0.02 to 0.35%, silicon from 0.05 to 5% and iron from 0.01 to 2%. The invention also relates to a method of producing mentioned compounds.
EFFECT: obtaining carriers with a specific surface in a wider range, with a narrower pore size distribution.
